Bat
Bats are the only mammals capable of sustained flight, belonging to the order Chiroptera. They possess wings formed by a membrane stretched between elongated fingers and their bodies. Bats are found worldwide, except in polar regions, inhabiting diverse environments including caves, forests, and buildings. Most bats are nocturnal and feed on insects, fruits, nectar, or blood. Many bats use echolocation for navigation and hunting. They play vital roles in ecosystems as pollinators, seed dispersers, and controllers of insect populations.
