Deer

Deer

Deer are graceful herbivorous mammals distributed across all continents except Australia and Antarctica. Males of most species grow antlers that are shed and regrown annually. Deer possess acute hearing, smell, and vision, enabling them to effectively detect predators. They inhabit diverse environments including forests, grasslands, tundra, and deserts. Deer are herbivores that feed on grass, leaves, twigs, and bark. Common species include white-tailed deer, elk, moose, and reindeer. Deer typically live in small groups but can form large herds when food is abundant.
