Giraffe

Giraffe

The giraffe is the tallest living terrestrial animal, with adults reaching heights of 5-6 meters, of which the neck accounts for approximately 2 meters. Their exceptionally long necks enable giraffes to feed on leaves that other animals cannot reach, particularly the tender leaves of acacia trees. A giraffe's tongue can be 45-50 cm long and is bluish-purple, allowing it to skillfully pluck leaves from branches. Giraffes inhabit the savannas and open woodlands of Africa and typically move in small groups. Despite their massive size, giraffes can run at speeds exceeding 50 km/h.
