Sheep

Sheep

Sheep are domesticated ruminant animals belonging to the family Bovidae. They are distinguished by their thick woolly fleece, which is shorn for use in clothing and textiles. Sheep are found worldwide and are important livestock, providing wool, meat, and milk. They are herbivores, primarily grazing on grasses and pasture. Sheep are typically herd animals and have a docile temperament. Many sheep breeds possess horns, although polled (hornless) varieties also exist. They are common farm animals and prey for many carnivores, such as wolves and coyotes.
