Tortoise
Tortoises are terrestrial reptiles within the order Testudines, distinct from sea turtles and freshwater turtles as they live exclusively on land. Tortoises are characterized by their high-domed, heavy shells, and stout, elephantine legs and feet adapted for digging. They are primarily found in warm, dry regions such as grasslands, shrublands, and deserts. Tortoises are herbivores, feeding mainly on plants like grasses, leaves, flowers, and cacti. They are generally slow-moving but have exceptionally long lifespans, with some individuals living for over 100 years.
