Crab
Crabs are decapod crustaceans belonging to the infraorder Brachyura. They typically have a broad, flattened body covered by a thick chitinous exoskeleton, and a pair of strong claws (chelae) used for defense, feeding, and communication. Crabs are found in marine, freshwater, and terrestrial environments worldwide, with immense species diversity. They are omnivorous, feeding on algae, mollusks, worms, other crustaceans, and carrion. Crabs are known for their characteristic sideways scuttling movement.
