Emu
Emus are large, flightless birds endemic to Australia, ranking as the second-largest bird species in the world (after the ostrich). They possess strong, long legs enabling rapid running and jumping. Emus are found across various Australian habitats, including forests, woodlands, shrublands, and grasslands. They are omnivores, feeding mainly on plants, seeds, fruits, insects, and small vertebrates. Emus are known for their distinctive guttural calls. They typically live solitarily or in pairs, though they may form larger flocks at times.
