Gecko
Geckos are a diverse group of lizards belonging to the family Gekkonidae. They are renowned for their specialized toe pads that allow them to adhere to vertical surfaces and even ceilings, and for their nocturnal habits. Geckos are found in warm regions worldwide, often near human habitations. They primarily feed on insects, though some larger species also consume fruits or small vertebrates. Many geckos are vocal, communicating through chirps and clicks. When threatened, they can detach their tails to distract predators.
