Guinea Pig

Guinea pigs, also known as cavies, are medium-sized rodents native to the Andes region of South America, belonging to the family Caviidae. They have robust bodies, lack a visible tail, and possess large, rounded ears. Guinea pigs are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses, vegetables, and hay. They are social animals, typically living in groups and communicating through a variety of vocalizations, such as 'wheeking' and 'purring'. Guinea pigs are widely kept as pets, popular for their docile nature and relatively easy care. They require a daily intake of vitamin C.
