Hippopotamus

Hippopotamuses are large, semi-aquatic mammals endemic to Africa, characterized by their massive bodies, short legs, wide mouths, and thick, mostly hairless skin. They spend most of their time in water or mud to keep cool and hydrated. Hippos primarily come ashore at night to graze, being herbivores. Despite their bulky appearance, they can run surprisingly fast and are highly territorial and aggressive, considered one of Africa's most dangerous animals. Their mouths can open to an extreme angle, revealing large canine teeth.
