Lemur
Lemurs are primates primarily found on the island of Madagascar and its surrounding smaller islands. They exhibit great diversity in form, ranging from tiny mouse lemurs to larger species like the ring-tailed lemur. Lemurs typically have long, bushy tails, large eyes (adapted for nocturnal vision), and specialized 'toothcombs' used for grooming. Their diets vary, including fruits, nectar, leaves, insects, and small vertebrates. Many lemur species are nocturnal and are social animals, living in groups.
