Orangutan
Orangutans are great apes found in Borneo and Sumatra, belonging to the family Hominidae. They are recognized by their long, reddish-brown hair and their remarkable ability to climb and swing through trees. Orangutans are primarily solitary and inhabit tropical rainforests. They are omnivorous, feeding mainly on fruits, but also consuming leaves, bark, insects, and bird eggs. Orangutans are among the most intelligent primates known, capable of tool use and complex problem-solving. They are critically endangered due to habitat loss.
