Owl
Owls are nocturnal birds of prey characterized by large forward-facing eyes, a flat facial disc, and the ability to rotate their heads up to 270 degrees. Their eyes are fixed in the sockets and cannot move, but they possess exceptionally keen night vision and depth perception. Owl flight is nearly silent due to the special structure of their feathers that eliminates sound. They are apex predators that primarily hunt rodents, small mammals, birds, and insects. Owls are distributed across all continents except Antarctica, inhabiting environments ranging from forests to deserts.
