Seal
Seals are marine mammals belonging to the order Pinnipedia, found widely in cold and temperate waters across the globe. They possess streamlined bodies, flippers for swimming, and a thick layer of blubber for insulation. Seals primarily feed on fish, cephalopods (like squid), and crustaceans. They spend most of their lives in the water but come ashore or onto ice floes to breed and molt. Seals communicate through a variety of vocalizations. They are prey for many marine predators, such as orcas and sharks, and are an important part of the marine food web.
