Snake
Snakes are legless reptiles belonging to the suborder Serpentes. They possess elongated bodies covered in scales, which they use for locomotion along the ground. Snakes are found worldwide (with exceptions like Antarctica, Ireland, Iceland, and New Zealand), inhabiting diverse environments from deserts to rainforests. They are carnivores with a wide prey range, including small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and insects. Many snakes possess fangs to inject venom, which can paralyze or kill their prey.
