Zebra

Zebras are African equines best known for their distinctive black-and-white striped coats. Scientists believe these stripes serve multiple purposes: confusing predators, regulating body temperature, and deterring biting insects. Each zebra's stripe pattern is unique, much like a human fingerprint. Zebras inhabit the grasslands and open woodlands of eastern and southern Africa, feeding on grass, leaves, and bark. They are social animals that live in groups ranging from a few individuals to herds of thousands. When threatened, zebras can deliver powerful kicks with their hind legs for defense.
